OK, OK… As a formality and as if no one knows him. This ultra cool Bollywood Actor is one of the gems the Indian Film Industry proudly boasts. Tooo much talking. Lets get to Business.
1. One thing you could change about Bollywood, you would…
The catering services
Wish the unit food was better and did not have tons of soda in it to make people feel full and bloated (an old trick they use to cut costs)
2. We see you back after a long sabbatical. Any special preparation done in that time?
I took 6 months off to train for PRINCE , everything from martial arts to stunt biking, cable and wire work, skateboarding and lots of training to be able to pull off the extremely challenging stunts live myself.
3. From Company to Kurbaan. Has the journey been exciting?
Very exciting…like the script of a real thriller…. with almost as many twists and turns as my film PRINCE
4. Do you cook? Whats your current special?
I love cooking almost as much as eating
Cooking feels very therapeutic and calms me. I can cook proper khana, dal chawal, sabzi etc but my rotis still look like shapes of the 7 Continents! Can’t ever get them perfect gol…
My current special is baking apple pies and cakes.
5. One food item that you got hooked on to over the years and you can never get done with it?
Middle of the night Maggi…. aaahhhhh soul food! From boarding school days to now, still hooked!
6. One food item each of your Leading ladies resembled.
Hahaha…kudos for the question…never heard that one before! Well, lemme see…Neeru reminds me of Makki di Roti, Aruna reminds me of English muffins and Nandana reminds me of Sandesh (Bengali mithai)
7. Do you host House Parties? Any tips for that?
Hell yeah! My parties, especially on outdoor shoots, have now acquired legendary status! They are the craziest most fun parties ever and I always invite my entire crew, especially the hard working teams of assistants from direction, production and wardrobe who work so hard and never get time off. It gives everyone a chance to forget his or her job profiles and hierarchy and just have a BLAST! My one cardinal rule at a party is that u can’t do without great food and great music! An Absolute must!
8. How do you keep fit? Any special regimen and food?
I love food…. and that’s an understatement! But ever since I turned vegetarian 11months ago, I feel amazingly healthy and light and don’t put on weight anymore…. it’s absolutely amazing and I am loving it! I Highly recommend it.
9. The best Places to dine for the following cuisines.
a. Indian – Peshawri
b. Chinese- Royal China
c. Kebabs- Urban Tadka
d. Italian- Don Giovanni
e. Fusion- Indigo
f. Sushi- Wasabi
g. Sandwiches & Coffee- BBC
h. World Food- Indigo
i. Mediterranean- Frangipani
j. Mexican- Casa Mexicana
10. One advise you always remember. Could you quote it for us?
Really savor your favorite food by being fully present and aware when you eat. Start by eating it with your eyes, smell it and then chew it slowly, only swallowing when you have to. Remember – there are no taste buds in your stomach. The moment you start swallowing you’re bringing the taste experience to an end! So make it worth the calories
11. Some cool tips for our foodees.
Always eat your favorite, eat calorie dense foods only in the daytime so u have enough time and activity to burn it off! The worst time to eat fattening foods is in the evening when you’re about to spend the next 10 hours relaxing and sleeping. With no activity to burn them off, the calories will head straight for the fat cells.
Wah Vivek. Really good chat. Refreshing and Positive. Thanks a tonn Vivek. Foodees are happy, yepp, as long as they get very good food and super good food gyaan from celebs like you exclusively by ifoodee.com… LIFE IS GOOD.
Ok Foodees, Until next time.
Happy Eating
